Help Us Make A Difference

Three Ways To Make An Impact

At Bluffton Community Kitchen, every contribution helps us fight hunger, foster dignity, and create a lasting impact in our community. Whether you’re able to give a little each day, make a one-time donation, or provide essential items, your support is invaluable. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible, allowing your generosity to benefit you as well. Here are three meaningful ways you can help support our mission.

One

Join our 50,000 Meals Club

Our 50,000 Meals Club is the perfect way to make a difference every day. For as little as $1 a day, you can help ensure our community receives the meals they need. By subscribing to a monthly commitment of $1, $2, $5, or $10 per day (billed monthly), you provide consistent support that fuels our kitchen and feeds those in need. This ongoing contribution offers a simple yet powerful way to impact lives without stretching your budget. Join today and be part of the solution, one meal at a time.

Two

Make A Financial Gift

For those who wish to make a larger, one-time or annual donation, financial gifts are a vital source of support. These contributions often come from our annual giving fund events, where both individuals and businesses pledge significant amounts to help sustain our programs. Whether it’s a one-time gift or an annual contribution, your financial support allows us to plan for and expand our services, making a lasting difference in the lives of Bluffton’s underserved.

Three

Donate Food & Paper Goods

We also welcome donations of food and essential paper goods. Through partnerships like “Ida’s Closet,” we provide families not only with nutritious food but also with necessary household items. Your donation of food or supplies helps us stock our shelves and distribute these essentials to families in need, giving them the resources they need to thrive. Every item donated brings comfort and relief to those we serve.

No matter how you choose to give, your support helps us serve and uplift our community. Every dollar, every item, and every ounce of effort counts. Join us in making a difference today and see how your generosity fuels hope and change.

4 Ways to Multiply the Impact of Your Donation

Make a Qualified Charitable Contribution (QCD) from your existing IRA account

Donors that have reached age 70.5 this year can make a QCD that is tax free for federal income tax purposes. Qualified charitable distributions can help reduce your federal tax bill in two ways. While a QCD is a withdrawal from your IRA, it is not counted as taxable income on your tax return like regular withdrawals are. Instead, a QCD can be deducted from your gross income on your tax return—without having to itemize your deductions. And, for those who are at least 73 years old, QCDs count toward the IRA owner’s required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.

Donate Appreciated Stock to Bluffton Community Kitchen

Instruct your broker to transfer your shares to Bluffton Community Kitchen. You may receive a federal income-tax deduction for the full fair-market value of the securities and avoid long-term capital-gain tax on any appreciation in the value of the stock.

Donate to BCK Through the “Champions Fore Charity” Program

A gift of $1000 or more donated through the Heritage Classic Foundation’s “Champions Fore Charities” program qualifies for an additional 20% match from the Heritage Classic Foundation. Donations must be received by the Heritage Foundation by December 1, 2024.

Leave A Legacy Gift by Donating A Life Insurance Policy

A life insurance policy also can allow you to leave a legacy—not just for the people you love but also for organizations and causes that are important to you. That’s because a charity can be the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. There are three ways to help Bluffton Community Kitchen through life insurance proceeds.
