Hot Meals Program

Monday & Wednesday 1-2pm

Program Services:  The Hot Meals Program offers hearty Southern Lowcountry cuisine, freshly prepared and served to the community. Available for both home delivery and takeout, meals are provided every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Open to all, this program ensures that everyone can enjoy warm, nutritious meals without cost or obligation. It’s a welcoming opportunity for anyone in need of a satisfying, home-cooked meal and a chance to experience a sense of community and care.

Food Pantry

Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 1-2pm

The Food Pantry offers fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins, and bakery products in a self-serve format. This resource is available every Monday & Wednesday 1:00pm-2:00pm, Thursday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Open to everyone at no cost, the pantry ensures access to healthy, high-quality food. The aim is to support community members by providing essential groceries that promote nourishment and well-being without any barriers.

 Pantry Dropoff:  M-Thurs 9am-1pm

 

Ida’s Closet

Ida’s Closet is a vital support program of Bluffton Community Kitchen, created to provide families with essential household and pantry items that help ease everyday burdens. From personal hygiene products to basic household necessities, Ida’s Closet ensures that families have access to the items they need to maintain stability, dignity, and comfort at home. 

We are currently building an inventory of the following much needed items:

  • Diapers (sizes 4-6)
  • Women’s Sanitary Napkins (all sizes)
  • Laundry Detergent (pods preferred)
  • Laundry Sanitizer or Deodoraizing Rinse
  • Fabric Softener (Downy preferred)
  • Bleach (32-64 oz size)
  • Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox or Lysol)
  • Disinfecting Spray (Clorox or Lysol)
  • Dish Soap (Dawn preferred)
  • Window/Glass Cleaner
  • Trash Bags (all sizes)
  • Febreze or Lysol Air Freshener Spray
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner (Lysol preferred)
  • Paper Towels (individually wrapped)
  • Toilet Paper (individually wrapped)
  • Tissue Boxes
  • Cotton Balls/QTips
  • Liquid Hand Soap
  • Toothpaste/Toothbrushes
  • Mouthwash
  • Shampoo

Ida’s Closet Recipes

Ida’s Closet Recipes: Bringing Families Together … One Meal at a Time

Bluffton Community Kitchen is proud to introduce Ida’s Closet Recipes, a new program that inspires families through cooking and cultural discovery. Each month, registered families receive a free meal kit with fresh ingredients and a simple, step-by-step recipe inspired by international cuisine.

More than just a meal, Ida’s Closet Recipes creates meaningful moments in the kitchen—encouraging families to explore global flavors, learn about different cultures, and build cooking skills together.

24-Hour Food Tree

Available 24/7

The Food Tree is a 24-hour access point for non-perishable food items, ensuring that essential supplies are always available to those in need. Located at 21 Boundary Street, Bluffton, SC, it is restocked twice a month to maintain consistent availability. This community resource operates on a trust-based “take what you need and leave some for others” principle, promoting a culture of sharing and mutual support. Free for all, it helps ensure no one in the community goes without necessary food staples.

Afterschool Enrichment Program

Monday thru Thursday 3-6pm

The After School Enrichment Program supports Pre-K through 12th-grade students attending Beaufort County Public Schools. Held Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 21 Boundary Street, Bluffton, SC, the program offers homework assistance, core subject tutoring, outdoor activities, field trips, snacks, and a hot dinner. This free initiative provides a safe, supportive environment that fosters academic success and personal growth. Parents can register their children online through the Beaufort County School District.
